DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs preliminary audit surveys, risk assessments and analytic review of assigned areas to be audited. Develops audit programs designed to achieve the corresponding audit objectives. Performs audit testing per the audit program and analyzes the results in order to reach accurate and appropriate conclusions regarding the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls tested. This work and conclusions are supported and documented in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Supervises staff auditors in their execution of audit testing. Discusses potential control deficiencies with auditee-management and attempts to reach agreement on the nature, extent and significance of deficiencies as well as corrective action needed. Discusses points of disagreement with the Director, Internal Audit. Assists with the presentation of Internal Audit reports as needed. Performs follow-up audit procedures to appraise the adequacy of the corrective action take to improve deficiencies. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director, Internal Audit. Completes special assignments as instructed.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor degree in accounting from an accredited university or a comparable degree in finance or other business specialty with a minor in accounting required. Three to five years of recent internal or external audit experience

Analyzes labor and overhead variances. Compiles material, labor and overhead numbers for the budget and forecasting. Sets labor and overhead rates. Participates as a product profitability team member and attends all meetings. Provides production reports, reporting actual to standard and variance
Verifies that parts and costs have been updated properly.
Maintains a good working knowledge of the manufacturing process trough monthly tours of the production area. Performs other duties at or above the same skill level at the discretion of the supervisor.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university in accounting with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the accounting field.
