A position has become available for an Estimator who has previous Buildsoft estimating experience working on Commercial, Retail & Hospitality projects valued up to $40,000,000. Reporting to the Construction Manager the successful Senior Estimator / Estimator will be responsible for the full bidding process of accurate estimation of costs and preparation of tender documentation for the submission to potential clients.
Main duties for the position will include the preparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and selection of sub contractor quotations, calculation of site management and preliminary costs, contract appraisal and final negotiations.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, as Construction Manager you'll be required to manage multiple projects up to $10m in value, be responsible for all construction staff, contract execution, ensure OH&S policies are observed. To be successful in this role, you'll be required to come from a roofing background, have good technical knowledge, degree or trade will be highly regarded.

The applicable candidate will have had a successful track record in working for a mid or top tier building contractor in the market and have some of the following exposure; Experience in providing programming assistance to all sites, preparation of regular updates and provisions of short term schedules. Responsibility for the initial programs after design input and discussions / liaisons with tender managers, project managers and estimators. Formulation of tender programs to allow other facets of the business to manage time, resources and cash flow effectively as well as constant monitoring of such programs. Substantial experience in the building industry, working knowledge of planning techniques including common software tools. Other qualities you will possess will be a strong command of the English language, superior communication and excellent problem solving skills.
