Our client is a pre-eminent real estate funds manager, finance and investment banking business. Significant growth has created an opportunity for an additional member of the risk and compliance team. This team has been created to focus on the growing importance of managing risk proactively for the business. Reporting to the Head of the Risk and Compliance Function locally you will be part of a global compliance team, your role will be half operational and half compliance. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: reporting to External Regulators on behalf of the group providing training and support to the business, implementing process improvements in relation to regulatory controls, monitoring compliance, establishing monitoring and audit processes, and overseeing compliance reviews across the business, developing risk mitigation processes and strategies, advising the business on risk minimisation policies managing the quarterly Board Reporting process
To be considered for this position you must possess accounting, finance or legal qualifications at a tertiary level. Ideally, you will have a risk & compliance background within a financial services environment. You will be able to develop relationships at all levels of seniority, both inside and outside the organisation and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

As the Internal Audit Manager with this global insurance provider this role will give you the chance to operate as a pivotal member within the Senior Risk Management team. You will also gain exposure to risk practises on a global scale. More specifically as the Internal Audit Manager you will be responsible for: Developing and managing the Internal Audit Plan and Program Analysing and identifying ongoing audit matters. Reporting on audit matters to executive management and head office. Prepare and execute the strategic and detailed audit plan. Prepare and execute risk/control assessments. Prepare and execute audit reports.
Liaison with external auditors, ensuring that all regulatory requirements in relation to external auditors are met. Specific project activity.

Ideally, you will be CA/CPA qualified and have experience in both the property and accounting processes. You will have recent experience managing and interacting with business unit heads across a large company with diverse income streams. A solid communicator, you will be able to deliver reports to all levels of management and interact with the operational members of the company.
