Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Drafter to join their firm. The company deals with all applications of the civil engineering market with a speciality in Pre cast / Tilt Up technologies.
They are currently on the search for a senior structural drafter to join their team so as to lead the junior drafters within the organisation in the delivery of drawings for clients. This is a permanent position but contractors are encouraged to apply as well. The applicant will be paid substantially based on experience and the firm will provide you with career progression to higher management roles.
Applicants will ideally have: A strong construction background working on either commercial or civil engineering projects in a quantity surveying, contacts administration or Commercial Management capacity.
The role: Review of Contracts for awarded projects
Identifying risks/costs (e.g. additional insurances, payment terms, liabilities, etc)
Assist in internal Project/Tender Risk Assessment procedures
Compile Subcontract agreements including conditions, payment terms, etc.
Assisting in compiling conditions to execute contract (notices, insurances, bank guarantees, etc) Establishing supplier agreements. Reviewing contractual correspondence to clients and subcontractors
Compiling & co-ordinating variations & delays within current projects

A position has become available for an Estimator who has previous Buildsoft estimating experience working on Commercial, Retail & Hospitality projects valued up to $40,000,000. Reporting to the Construction Manager the successful Senior Estimator / Estimator will be responsible for the full bidding process of accurate estimation of costs and preparation of tender documentation for the submission to potential clients.
Main duties for the position will include the preparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and selection of sub contractor quotations, calculation of site management and preliminary costs, contract appraisal and final negotiations.
