The Role: Operating and reporting to the Studies Manager and liaising with the Processing Team for specific technical input into the development of the base case and options, you will insure that all process areas that interface with the Utilities have been accounted for and that study options meet Management Standards and Fatal Risk Protocols.Your tasks will involve: Conducting studies for the processing plant of their project
Manage the area of utilities including process and equipment selection
The development of project cost estimates and schedules for utilities
Undertake studies for water, compressed air, oxygen supply, natural gas, steam and power generated from excess steam. You will develop technical scopes of work for all option study work
Undertake bid evaluation and selection of contractors
Negotiate agreements with contractors
Manage Contractor/Consultant performance
The Person: You will be Degree qualified in Minerals Processing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.

Candidates should hold a BE in chemical engineering along with extensive postgraduate relevant experience in the onshore / offshore oil & gas industry and mid level experience as a process engineer. Candidates should also have knowledge and experience of: Relevant regulations, standards and international codes;
Development of PFD’s and P&ID’s; Conceptual design and detailed design of process plants;
Performance and supervision of detailed process design calculations;
Process simulation work using Hysys or other software;
Pipeline, compressor and metering station design, selection, construction, upgrades and optimisation;
Contribute to development of Equipment Specifications and datasheets; Participation in Risk assessment activities such as HAZOP and CHAZOP. It is also expected that the successful candidate will have a high level of integrity, excellent communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels in the organisation.
