Provide desktop support for Transit locations dispersed throughout the area. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how PC's operate in a complex LAN/WAN environment with the potential for full time employment.
The following are the various tasks that this position will be responsible for:
1) Troubleshoot and resolve PC related software/hardware problems.
2) Install and or replace computer equipment as required.
3) Assist with auditing and inventorying software/hardware/serial numbers on all PC's.
4) Upgrade PCs’ operation systems at all locations.
5) Assist with inventorying and disposition of old computer equipment.

Responsibilities: Help Desk Support
Perform routine maintenance on desktop and laptop computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
Troubleshoot software, hardware and network connectivity issues.
Manage peripheral equipment for staff – digital cameras, drives, etc.
Provide orientation to new staff and interns on hardware and software. Assess skill-level and training needs of staff. Provide ongoing training and assistance in proper use of software and hardware. Coordinate occasional software training for staff by outside trainers.
Transfer digital video from tapes submitted by staff and create DVD archives for digital video library. Duplicate promotional DVDs. Assist staff in management of digital image archive.
IT Infrastructure Management. Manage network user accounts, shares, and directory structure.
Perform software and hardware installations. Manage data back-ups.
Troubleshoot network and server-related issues. Research and implement solutions. independently, actively participate in solving IT-related issues.
Work closely with the Manager of Information Technology to complete projects, installations, and initiatives.
Write and update documentation for system maintenance and operating policies and procedures.
Other Responsibilities. Provide administrative support to the Manager of IT, maintaining hard files, soliciting bids from vendors, etc. Provide staff support and logistical assistance at organizational-wide events.
Attend bi-weekly staff meetings, attend occasional department staff meetings to access IT needs.
Perform other support or administrative duties as assigned.
Necessary Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of work experience and education. MSCE certifications are preferred.
