Dubai has many serviced apartments or villas available for short term lets, these are all furnished and the serviced apartments also have housekeepers who change the towels and bedding on a daily basis. If you are in a transition period waiting to find your permanent home in Dubai these are a good interim measure.
Golden Sands Hotels: There are numerous Golden Sands buildings in Bur Dubai all within close proximity to each other. These are popular with business travellers and newcomers to Dubai who are without residency or awaiting an employer to secure more permanent accomodation. Short term they are also good for those who have moved here and are looking for work. The prices are relatively ok considering they are nowhere near the beach. Having said that they are clean, the staff are polite, housekeeping comes daily to change towels and bedding, there is a pool, gym and sauna in all Golden Sands buildings. You are also only a short walk away from many shops, hotels, restaurants and bars. Do bear in mind that the listed price can be negotiated if you are staying on a month by month basis. Silver Sands Hotels have recently been built in the same area of Bur Dubai. If you do not yet have residency visa but intend to stay in Dubai on a long term basis these are a good bet as you can pay monthly and there is no need for a residency visa. Many of Dubai’s long-term expats began their life in Dubai in one of the Golden Sands apartments. In Bur Dubai there are numerous hotels that offer short-long term accommodation. If you are interested in living in this area of town it is worth walking around the area and enquiring within all of the hotels to find out what their rates are and if they have rooms available. |
